Take Route 128 to Route 20 in Waltham (exit 39). Go west on Route 20.
Continue on Route 20 about 4 miles until you reach the 2nd traffic light. This is the intersection of Route 20 with Routes 27 and 126, which run parallel at that point. You will see the Wayland Public Safety building on your right. Turn left (south) onto Routes 27/126. If you cross the Sudbury river or enter Sudbury itself, then you went too far west on Route 20.
Go about 1 mile south on Routes 27/126 until you come to the first traffic light. At this intersection, Route 27 continues straight and Route 126 splits off at an angle to the right. Turn right, following Route 126 south. If you enter a windy portion of the road, with an aluminum guardrail on your right, then you went too far south on Route 27.
Go approximately 1 ½ miles south on Route 126. You will pass the Wayland High School and Town Pool on your right. About 100 yards past the High School, you will see Lavin's Liquors on your right. Just before Lavin's Liquors is Stonebridge Road. Turn right on Stonebridge Road.
Go approximately 1.1 mile west on Stonebridge Road until you come to Old Stonebridge Road on your right. Turn right onto Old Stonebridge Road. If you cross a bridge over the Sudbury River, then you went too far west on Stonebridge Road.
Go about 0.2 miles on Old Stonebridge Road until you come to your first right. Turn right on Overlook Road. Take Overlook Road until it ends at Riverview Circle. Turn right on Riverview Circle.
Go about 50 yards down Riverview Circle until it takes a sharp bend to the left. On the right side of the road you will see a dirt road with a brown gate. Turn right onto the dirt road. Turn left when dirt road forks, leading you to the outdoor range.
Take the Mass Pike to Exit 117, Route 30 in Natick. (Be careful, because there are two or three different exits from the Mass Pike onto Route 30.) Keep right at the tolls and take Route 30 west towards Shopper's World.
Turn right at the first traffic light, which is Burr Street. You will see a car dealer at the corner. If you reach the Shopper's World mall, then you went too far west on Route 30.
Take Burr Street about 2 blocks until it dead ends at a traffic light with Speen Street. Turn left onto Speen Street.
Take Speen Street 1 block until it dead ends at a traffic light with Old Connecticut Path. Turn right onto Old Connecticut Path.
Take Old Connecticut Path north about 2 miles or so. You will come into a narrow, winding, downhill portion. As you reach the bottom of the hill, you will see Lavin's Liquors on your left. Just beyond Lavin's Liquors is Stonebridge Road on your left. Turn left on Stonebridge Road.
Go approximately 1.1 mile west on Stonebridge Road until you come to Old Stonebridge Road on your right. Turn right onto Old Stonebridge Road. If you cross a bridge over the Sudbury River, then you went too far west on Stonebridge Road.
Go about 0.2 miles on Old Stonebridge Road until you come to your first right. Turn right on Overlook Road. Take Overlook Road until it ends at Riverview Circle. Turn right on Riverview Circle.
